Current Mission of the Institute of Noetic Sciences

"Advancing the science of consciousness and human experience to serve individual and collective transformation"

The St. Louis IONS Community Group is a local affiliate of the Institute of Noetic Sciences. We draw on the resources of IONS and Shift in Action as well as others to extend our understanding of topics such as consciousness, spirituality, energy fields, emerging world views and related ideas.

Operating on the Ghandi statement “You must be the change you want to see in the world”, we consider that our growth in understanding may add to an ever greater understanding among all people in the world.

Currently, we meet twice a month. Our General  Meeting features a program on the second Saturday morning of the  month. Our Saturday morning meetings are usually in a basement conference room at the Buder Branch Library (4401 Hampton Avenue, St.  Louis -south of the Hampton & Chippewa intersection), 9:30 a.m. to noon, 314-352-2900.  The program is expected to last about an hour and a half.

Our  Book Discussion meets in a private home on the fourth Wednesday evening  of the month at 7:00.  We discuss our selected book a few chapters at a time. Upon completion of one book, we have a selection session and  choose the next book.
