Book Discussions

We began having book discussions to broaden our understanding of human experience and related ideas through the ages.   Between our book discussions and our programs, we are bringing each of our IONS-related interests into the general discussion.  We began our discussions with “The Epic of Gilgamesh” and the story of  “Marduk” from ancient texts and continued with far more recent writings. 

Our book discussions are held on the 4th Wednesday evening of the month in a private home. We generally discuss a few chapters at each meeting until we have finished the book. That allows us time to think about the subject and, as a group, consider more of the ideas presented in the book.

In March. 2010 we began reading and discussing "The Akashic Experience, Science and the Cosmic Memory Field", Edited by Ervin Laszlo with contributions from Alex Grey, Stanislov Grof, Stanley Krippner, Swami Kriyananda, Edgar Mitchell.
